Dona Lourdès

Dona Lourdès is a multidisciplinary and bilingual (French/Portuguese) dance performance project based on radio interviews Némo did with his grandmother about her life story.

The residency at Buda will be dedicated to the exploration and composition of the gesture and choreographic movement of the piece from a theoretical and documentary research on racial whitening in Brazil in the 19th century.

Némo Camus is a sound artist based in Brussels. He holds degrees in sociology and cinema studies and studied radio at INSAS – Institut Supérieur des Arts. His pieces, always rooted in fieldworks, explore the tensions between documentary and fiction, testimony and speculation. He collaborates with artists for theater, dance and performance. He is a member of the Jef Klak collective.

Robson Ledesma is a Brazilian performer based in Brussels. He trained at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo and P.A.R.T.S. He has worked with Ismael Ivo, Alan Lucien Øyen, Michiel Vandevelde, Bruno Freire, Michèle Anne De Mey, Marc Vanrunxt, among others.
