Nu werkt hij er aan Here, then. Daarin past hij met beeldend kunstenares Marcelline Delbecq het principe van de Camera Obscura toe op dans. Achter een zwart gordijn bewegen vijf dansers, terwijl je op de voorgrond hun live projectie ziet – op de analoge manier, hier komt niets digitaal aan te pas! De dansers komen ook geregeld op de voorgrond, zodat er een interessante dialoog ontstaat tussen de twee diepteniveaus. De teksten suggereren allerlei nieuwe betekenissen.

Rémy Héritier (FR)

Rémy Héritier is a choreographer and dancer. Since 2005 he has created a dozen of works in different contexts, in and out of the theater. His pieces include Percée Persée, Une étendue, Dispositions, Facing the Sculpture, Jeux chorégraphiques with Laurent Pichaud, Here, then with Marcelline Delbecq, Une danse ancienne (Lausanne, Grenoble and Cajarc), Une forme brève and L’usage du terrain (Pantin and Vitry) .

In these different pieces, Rémy Héritier involves in his choreographic writing the reoccurrence of temporal, spatial strata in places, developing the depth of the past to reach the present. This archaeological excavation in a given context, his personal history of dance as well as that of his collaborators, enables him to shift towards notions linked to other disciplines such as intertextuality, re-enactment or the Third landscape, and thereby to convoke a new poetics of gesture.

His work was shown in France, Europe, USA and Japan.
