The first word of the first poem of the first collection is basket is a project of Kotomi Nishiwaki and Ondine Cloez. During this research residency, they will practice tankas, a short poetic form in thirty-one syllables. These tankas are an opportunity to open a conversations and practices around translation, memory and noise, and will become, later, a duet.

Kotomi and Ondine met twenty years ago while studying in PARTS. Since then they both work as performers and choreographers. The first word is their first project together.
