THE ORANGE SITE

Leticia Skrycky

THE ORANGE SITE (provisional name of this research) is a field of intertwined questions and practices: How can the stage embrace us, offering the keys to enter a subtle, collective and fine state of attention? How can light become a place to step inside? Can we tactilely experience visuality, being able to perceive the subtle shifts in the air that surrounds us? Can we notice how matter is creating multiple and coexisting temporalities?

In this research, Leticia Skrycky explores the idea of perceiving color as a durational and relational process. She is lighting and painting surfaces to allow them to radiate their tonality all over the place. This reflected light serves as an attention apparatus, trying to unfold space and time.

BUDA will hold the first residency of this project, which may lead to a future performance, film and publication.
