Toward NOA #5 Inhabiting rituals of living and grieving

Qalqalah

Artist Mounira Al Solh and editorial collective Qalqalah قلقلة embark on a joint research investigating forms of communal living; the production of feminist spaces and gestures; and the invention of rituals of care and grieving for the living and the dead accross multiple languages. It is anchored in the history of beguinage in Kortrijk and Belgium and its contemporary reactivations. This investigation will lead to the edition of the 5th issue of NOA (Not Only Arabic), a performative magazine initiated by Mounira Al Solh, via a series of encounters and workshops in Buda.
